Help refine Leduc’s latest draft Land Use Bylaw The City of Leduc is refining its Land Use Bylaw, which helps guide how land and buildings are used and developed across the city. Community feedback so far shows residents want thoughtful, balanced growth with emphasis on more housing options, especially in growing areas, while also carefully integrating new housing types in established neighbourhoods to fit the existing neighbourhood scale and context. Your feedback will help shape the next draft before it is presented for public hearing and Council consideration. This round of feedback will focus on how the refined Land Use Bylaw achieves what the City set out to accomplish. The project’s original goals included making the bylaw easier to understand and use, removing unnecessary barriers, supporting housing choice and appropriate growth, providing greater flexibility (where appropriate), and supporting complete and adaptable communities. Get involved and: See how feedback from earlier engagement has influenced the draft. Learn about the key changes proposed in the refined Land Use Bylaw. Explore the Housing Design Catalogue and how it is intended to support more housing options in Leduc. Tell us what you think and identify and remaining questions or considerations before the Land Use Bylaw is finalized. A full draft version of the renewed Land Use Bylaw and a preview of the Housing Design Catalogue will be posted the week of Sept. 21, 2026. The Housing Design Catalogue is a design tool for homeowners, builders and developers to support housing development. Drop in at any time during the session. We want your input on what the new Leduc Skate Park is going to look like. Learn about the development process and give us your input about features you’d like to see at the new skate park. When: Thursday, Oct. 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Where: Leduc Recreation Centre, LPH Room The workshop will consist of: An overview of the redevelopment project and what your feedback will help guide “Skateparks 101,” a case study showcasing modern skate parks and providing examples of what could be incorporated in the new park A design input session where you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts on the design possibilities Registration is not required to participate in the workshop. This course provides basic and practical instruction in understanding and negotiating in industry. Participants gain familiarity with key contractual terms and develop professional negotiation skills through exposure to real-life agreements. The course prepares learners to recognize potential contractual risks and advocate effectively for all parties involved in the contracting process. The LMHA U13 Memorial Classic & Faceoff for the Stollery is an exciting youth hockey tournament that brings together U13 teams for a weekend of competitive play, sportsmanship, and community spirit. In addition to the on-ice action, the event supports the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation through fundraising initiatives that help make a difference in the lives of children and families.
